WHAT WILL YOU REMEMBER?
Many years from now, you'll be hard pressed to remember the color of your table linens, but you will forever remember how you felt when you watched your husband get misty-eyed and choked up. You'll remember that your grandmother fell asleep and that the weather didn't quite cooperate, because, well, that's just what they do. You'll forever remember the happiness you felt when you kissed your wife for the very first time. You'll laugh about how your dad stepped on your dress during the dance and how your ring bearer didn't quite make it to the end of the aisle. These are the emotions that matter and what you'll remember many years down the road. This is your visual legacy.
1. IT'S ALL ABOUT
I chase light and emotions, not shot lists. I cover all the details of your story while allowing the action to unfold undirected, naturally and honestly. My work reflects my way of seeing your story. It is honest and open and full of the little moments of life.
2. FIND HUMOR
Life does not come with a rewind button. There are no redos or do-overs. Be here now and laugh. Become a child again and explore.
3. MAKE SOMETHING
Compelling storytelling is at the heart of my photography. It must be honest and true, but it must also be timeless and eternal.
Your legacy is priceless. The photographs you hand down to your grandchildren will survive you for future generations. I believe it is of the upmost importance to make sure we don't neglect this visual heritage. There is no rewind button in life and it is our duty and privilege to capture life and preserve it.
Unlimited coverage of your story starts at $3,500. Please contact me and I'd be happy to share more information about my offerings and to get to know you.
• How many hours coverage is included?
Your story is limitless. It began long before your wedding day and will continue long after. The narrative of your big day is so much more than just "I do's" and family portraits. For this reason, I offer limitless wedding day coverage. This means unlimited hours of wedding day coverage, unlimited photos taken, and unlimited reproduction rights. This way we can be sure to capture the full essence of your unique story.
• Can I just hire you for a couple of hours?
I work with each couple to really get to know them and their families. This means spending the time to listen and reflect on who they are and what makes them tick. Swooping in to photograph the ceremony and then leaving does not allow us the time to build the repertoire necessary to deliver the full story. If you are interested in our portrait sessions, I am happy to discuss this separate service.
• What makes your style so unique?
Focusing on the emotions and character interactions is a fearless approach. It requires us to forget what we read in the blogs about what is popular and trust our instinct as to what we will cherish many years down the road. Ultimately, we are creating these photographs for your grandchildren. This timeless approach demands a unique vision and one that I try to infuse with humor, humility, and respect.
• We are eloping. Will you travel with us?
Just say the word. Travel is a great way to gain new perspectives and the challenges of a destination elopement offer huge opportunities for personal reflection and a very memorable wedding experience. Contact me to discuss your custom package and how I can help you through the challenges of planning an elopement, whether to Savannah or the savanna of Africa.
"You can see pure happiness in every photo, and I know these will bring a smile to our faces for many years to come."
"He did much more than that, he captured several days of family, friends and much laughter. I am so grateful to have had such a wonderful photographer who is wildly talented to be there for our wedding. I cannot speak highly enough of the genuine talent Russ has for working in the moment."
"All we can say is wow! We've only seen the sneak peek of the photos so far but they are AMAZING! We can't wait to see the rest! We couldn't be happier having you capture our special day."
"My wife and I cannot begin to tell you how great it was to work with Russ. Our wedding location was to be in Savannah's Forsyth Park, but due to Hurricane Matthew, the city was shutdown and no one could get in. Russ worked with us as we postponed events for one day, then two, then we finally decided to cancel. While it was a difficult time for us after all the planning and anticipation, Russ was as gracious and helpful as possible, letting us know that he would stick with us no matter what until we could get rescheduled. A year later to the day, we were able to finally have our wedding. Russ was a true professional."
